Masovian Museum
UX/UI of the application for the museum in the Płockians Gallery section.
Project
The oldest museum in Poland, established in 1821, housing a rich collection of historical, numismatic, artistic, and archaeological artifacts.
My Role
Designing several applications for museum visitors, which provide information on historical figures, organizations, and landmarks of Płock.
My Tasks
Creating UX and UI designs for the applications in close collaboration with museum staff, who provided the content and served as a testing group.
Retouching historical photographs, which included removing visible damage and performing color correction.
My Achievements
Through productive collaboration with the museum, we created applications that are not only visually appealing but also exceptionally user-friendly. Visitors have praised the applications for their ease of use, even after extended periods of engagement.
The success of the project is confirmed by the fact that after implementing the first two applications, the museum asked me to develop further ones.

The color palette draws inspiration from vintage photography. Most images are black and white or in sepia tones, with grays and beiges that perfectly capture this atmosphere.
For this project, I chose a classic serif font. Arbutus Slab works well as both a title and additional font.
The app's UX ultimately turned out to be a great success.
The applications I developed for the Mazovian Museum form an extensive archive of historical materials. The main challenge was to design a UX that made accessing this wealth of information simple and intuitive.
To date, eight different applications have been created, covering over 100 figures, places, and events. They contain thousands of photos and documents, all organized logically and easily accessible.
User-centered designed applications
I like apps the most whose UX is so intuitive that they don't require any instructions.
This is not always possible, but where possible it is worth striving for.
